A re-energized fan base demonstrated its interest in Marlins baseball again on Saturday, setting a team single-day Select-A-Seat sales mark.

The Marlins announced that Saturday's event at Dolphins Stadium ended with more than $210,000 in season tickets being purchased. The previous Select-A-Seat high was $140,000, set in 2004.

The bump in season ticket sales comes on the heels of Delgado signing the richest contract in franchise history, $52 million over four years.

The Marlins have two more Select-A-Seat events scheduled. Next up is Feb. 12, at the annual FanFest at Dolphins Stadium, which will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m ET.

Based on the growing fan support, it is likely that FanFest will top the $210,000 in ticket sales posted Saturday.
